Dugout Mugs is proud to announce the Justin Turner Foundation as our Cheers to Charity recipient for the month of December. Started by Los Angeles Dodgers star Justin Turner and his wife Kourtney, the organization's mission is, "to support homeless veterans, children (and their families) battling life-altering illnesses and diseases and various youth baseball organizations."
The contributions of the JTF have made a huge impact on The Dream Center in Los Angeles as well. As a result, they have provided housing for 26 male veterans, and helped launch the female Veterans programs, which helps 18 female veterans with their housing needs. But their work in the community doesn't stop there.
Justin Turner, Kourtney, and the foundation can be regarded as the area version of Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Since the organization has started, they've given over 70,000 toys and 14,000 bicycles to area children during the holidays!
Our #CheersToCharity initiative has helped numerous foundations and organizations in our baseball community including the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, Mariano Rivera Foundation, Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation, Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Eddie Guardado Foundation, the HelpCure HD Foundation, We Fam United, David Well's Perfect 33 Foundation, Pudge Rodriguez and Fundación Posada De Moisés, Red's pitcher Brandon Bailey, American Gold Star Mothers Inc. Tanner Houck's Pitch For Adoption, and many others.
If you know any heroes of the baseball world, let us know so we can continue to celebrate & serve them through our Cheers to Charity initiative!
