There was a time in the mid-1990s when New York Yankees’ closer Mariano Rivera would enter ​the game in the ​late inning​s​, and ​you knew what was coming!

​A song would blare on the PA, followed by the ROAR from the Yankees crowd, while Rivera made his signature trot out to the mound from the bullpen: Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” Due to that, Rivera quickly became known as the Sandman.
