The National League Championship Series is starting tonight and both the Braves and Dodgers are one step closer to a World Series.

Atlanta hasn't lost a game in the 2020 postseason, sweeping the Reds & Marlins in back to back series. Advancing past the NLDS ended a drought that dates back to 2001, the last time they were in the NLCS. Rookie Kyle Wright dazzled in game three & helped give the Braves pitching staff four shutouts in their first five playoff games.

The Dodgers are also riding a five-game win streak that started with a 2-0 sweep of the Brewers. Next up, a three-game pouncing of their California neighbors, the San Diego Padres. Los Angeles proved they can straight up mash the ball outscoring Slam Diego 21-9.  Thursday's final was the nail in the coffin with a 12-3 win and a five for six performance at the plate by catcher Will Smith. This will be the fourth NLCS appearance in five years for L.A.

Both team aren't strangers to the postseason and have the pennants and World Series rings to prove it. Who will be the stars of the series? Can the newest Dodger Mookie Betts and their high powered offense outlast the likes of Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuna Jr.? All we know is that pitching duels starring Clayton Kershaw, Max Fried, Walker Buehler, Dustin May, and Ian Anderson are going to be fun to watch!
