What is a Dugout Mug?

Does it keep liquid cold?

Yes, we did a thirty minute time test. The Dugout Mug vs a regular boring pint glass. The Dugout Mug won the contest for keeping the beer cold...by a landslide! Wood is a great insulator.

Won't the liquid penetrate the wood?

We double-seal the birch wood (inside and out), so there is a protective layer that is built over the wood. The liquid never touches wood.

Is it just used for beer?

No way! Our Dugout Mugs hold both hot and cold liquids. Many of our customers pour: soda, water, sports drinks, coffee or make a mixed drink.

How do you clean it?

It's really simple - hand wash and air dry with soap and semi-warm water. Pro-Tip: A bottle brush works really well.
