Florida Sports Hall Of Fame - Governor's Dinner

Florida Sports Hall Of Fame - Governor's Dinner

What a night we had at the 2018 Governor's Dinner!

Let us set the scene for you... Tropicana Field, right field warning track, open bar, catered, and rubbing elbows with some of the games greats... But best of all, Dugout Mugs getting filled with mixed drinks, beers, iced tea!

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred opened the program by giving a mini “State of the Union” address on the game. Manfred spoke about the 2017 season, which featured one of the most exciting and riveting post-seasons in recent history.

The highlight of the evening was an on-stage roundtable discussion featuring baseball greats Wade Boggs, Fred McGriff, Davey Johnson and Tino Martinez. The foursome shared stories of past glories, funny recollections and gave their thoughts on the current state of the game.

We presented each of the legends, as well as a few other notables in the crowd, their very own personalized Dugout Mug as a THANK YOU for their contribution to the game. Apparently they were well received.

Thanks to the Florida Sports Hall of Fame, the Florida Sports Foundation, and all of the parties who made this incredible experience possible. We appreciate you!
